Landscape Designer

Calumma Creative Landscapes Inc. is an award-winning boutique firm based out of North Vancouver, specializing in the design and construction of premium residential exterior living spaces. Built upon a philosophy of integrity, Calumma’s team focuses on client relationships rooted in communication and transparency, and quality craftsmanship that transcends time. Using a finely-tuned design process, Calumma integrates the client’s vision with design expertise that considers the architecture of the home and the topography of the land. 


Calumma has been growing since its inception in 2020, and we are now looking for an ambitious, creative, and hard-working Landscape Designer to join our firm in North Vancouver. The qualified candidate will be interested in working with a growing company that is able to offer a diverse range of experience in landscape design and project management. 


HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE


Working closely with the team, you’ll be working on a broad range of projects, assisting with design preparation and production. This will include but are not be limited to:


  • Landscape design work including conceptual design, 3D modeling, rendering, and 2D construction plans for exterior residential living spaces.
  • Creatively design innovative spaces that meet the client's preferred design aesthetic, while providing a functionally usable space.
  • Collaboration with other designers and contractors, as needed.
  • Various forms of project management during the landscape build process, including ordering materials, scheduling contractors, site visits, progress checks, verifying measurements and finishing details, etc. 
  • Other related design and project tasks, as required.


WHO YOU ARE


The qualified candidate must possess the following:


  • Quick-learner and competency across multiple creative software platforms. Experience with Google SketchUp and Layout is required, while skills with rendering and animation are considered assets.
  • Experience in conceptual design, 3D modeling, rendering, and 2D construction plans for exterior residential living spaces.
  • Collaborative mindset that is open to feedback and can exercise critical thinking throughout the design process. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication that emphasizes professionalism and team support.
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or Design from an accredited college or university or a combination of related education, experience, and skill set. 
  • Two professional references that can attest to your skills and qualifications.
  • Current and valid full B.C. Driver’s Licence. 


OTHER ASSETS


The qualified candidate may also possess marketing, photography, social media content creation, and/or videography skills to offer support in other areas, if the candidate is interested.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent


WORK HOURS: Daytime, Monday through Friday (8 Hours/Day) OR Monday through Thursday (10 Hours/Day)


WORK LOCATION: In-Person Office (75%), On-Site (25%)


SALARY: $55,000 to $75,000 (Commensurate with Experience)


PROBATIONARY PERIOD: First three months of employment will be a probationary period.
